Job Summary
Conduct daily PBIS implementation by working with teachers, students, and families to support behavioral expectations and de-escalate crises. Create and maintain behavior intervention plans, lead Tier I and intervention team meetings, and deliver classroom workshops on coping strategies. Manage SWIS data entry, analyze behavior metrics, and generate bi-weekly progress reports to drive program modifications. Serve as the point person for enforcing consequences, ensuring compliance with IDEA, and providing training to staff on PBIS and special education software.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years' experience facilitating IEP meetings and/or working with students with disabilities, particularly those with autism, intellectual disabilities, and emotional issues as a teacher, school psychologist, or related services provider
- Three (3) years' experience providing behavior interventions or related services
- Knowledge of all state and federal laws and rules about special education, including the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA)
- Knowledge and experience in writing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), record reviews, and compliance regulations
- Master's degree in education, Special Education, or related field
Desired Qualifications
- Background or experience in an Approved Private School for special education students or a public school special education setting
- Current Pennsylvania State Certification in Special Education or related field such as School Psychology or Educational Leadership
