Job Summary
Conduct electro-mechanical operational, preventative, and emergency maintenance on airport Passenger Boarding Bridges. Perform basic preventative tasks including cleaning, debris removal, and component replacements such as bearings, motors, and touch screens. Diagnose equipment failures, make minor adjustments, and troubleshoot electrical components across various voltage levels. Utilize tools, meters, and personal protective equipment safely while working in diverse environments including moving equipment, small spaces, and high spaces. Maintain system functionality and reliability for both electrical and mechanical items.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Educational Development (GED)
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- At least two (2) years of mechanical work experience
- At least one (1) year of basic electrical and/or electronic systems work experience
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and basic mechanical schematics
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screen
- Ability to successfully pass a driver's license check
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- Ability to successfully complete required federal fingerprinting
- Ability to successfully complete a Security Threat Assessment
- Ability to successfully complete airport security badging
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl on a frequent basis
- Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds
