Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day production floor operations by coordinating workflow, assigning tasks based on schedules, and monitoring progress to meet daily goals. Lead a team of production workers while enforcing strict compliance with GMPs, HACCP protocols, and food safety regulations. Provide on-the-job training to new members, support quality assurance checks, and ensure accurate documentation. Act as a liaison between employees and management to foster teamwork and accountability. This role requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Proven knowledge or experience in a production or lead production role
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, allergen control)
- Ability to work in a cold/hot, humid, or fast-paced food production environment
- Clear written and oral communication
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to problem solve
- Ability to work independently and team-orientated, able to work with diverse individuals within and outside the organization
- Flexible and reliable, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous experience in a lead or informal leadership role preferred
