Job Summary
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Payroll Technician is responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager in the accurate and timely processing of payroll. The role requires maintaining a comprehensive filing system in accordance with SCF’s record retention requirements. The position has two levels, with progression based on the ability to handle more responsible assignments. A thorough understanding of the cultures and needs of Alaska Native people is crucial. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and one year of payroll experience. The Payroll Technician II level requires an Associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field, along with the same year of payroll experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma; OR GED
- One (1) year of payroll experience, including processing computerized payroll, State and Federal reporting and management of employee files

- Native Preference: Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training.
