Payroll Team Leader

Job Summary
Process accurate weekly and monthly payrolls within agreed timeframes, maintaining HRIS data for new starters and terminations. Resolve payroll queries quickly, escalate where required, and prepare reporting for tax, superannuation, and statutory payments. Lead and support payroll process improvements, system updates, and procedure reviews while partnering with HR and Finance. Requires tertiary qualification, five years' high-volume payroll experience, and strong compliance knowledge. This hybrid role offers three days in office and includes wellness perks, family support, and recognition awards.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in quality, business, risk, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years' payroll processing experience
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, statutory requirements and deadlines
- Experience with payroll systems, rostering and award interpretation tools
- Intermediate Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data
