Job Summary
Assist with preparation and review of federal, state, and local payroll tax filings, including reconciliation of liabilities against payroll registers and general ledger accounts. Help monitor multi-state tax registrations and track updates to state/local tax rates, wage bases, and jurisdictional requirements. Support quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations while identifying and troubleshooting discrepancies or notices from tax agencies. Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned. This full-time, onsite role in Piscataway, NJ, runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 4-day onsite schedule. The position offers a rate of $25 per hour and lasts 6–12 months. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Fast learner with ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Able to attend to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Self-driven individual and able to work independently
