Payroll Supervisor

Job Summary
Lead the payroll team to ensure timely, accurate multi-state payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Review and approve payrolls, correct errors, and act as a backup to the Payroll Manager and coordinators. Oversee quarter-end and year-end activities, including tax oversight, reconciliations, and audits for workers compensation and 401K. Train new hires, establish desk procedures, and troubleshoot system issues with technical support. Evaluate payroll practices to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and accuracy. Maintain complete confidentiality of employee information and foster a culture of trust and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Accounting/Finance or related field
- 2 - 3 years' progressive experience in Accounting/Finance field
- Strong leadership skills

- Knowledge of payroll processing best practices
- payroll tax administration and filing
- other payroll disciplines
- Multi-state payroll tax experience
- Experience with UltiPro (UKG) and/or Workday
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet preparation utilizing Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively with others in a friendly, professional manner
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-supervised and disciplined to prioritize and complete work on a timely basis
- Demonstrated ability to lead with humility, respect and a people-first mindset
