Job Summary
Administer timecards, process payroll for 500-800 employees semi-monthly to biweekly, and communicate with ADP/Dayforce to enable accurate, timely processing. Secure and back up payroll reports on the company network while extracting data for post-processing reviews. Handle new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations, including calculating final pay, RRSP/DPSP contributions, wage garnishments, and child support. Process quarterly audits, assist with annual merits and retroactive calculations, and respond to verification requests. Stay abreast of compliance issues and system upgrades through continuing professional development. Manage payroll mail, storage, and documentation while driving multiple projects to completion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- 5-7+ years' experience with high-volume paperless Payroll
- Effective communications skills (oral and written), including presentations
- Planning & organizational skills, results-oriented and the capability of driving multiple projects simultaneously to completion
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with in-house payroll processing preferred
- Experience with JDE and JDE One environments preferred
- US Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Canada Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) preferred
