Job Summary
The Payroll Supervisor manages all payroll department activities for the USA and Canada, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. The role includes training and overseeing the payroll team, managing payroll disbursements for over 600 employees, developing reporting procedures, and handling audits and payroll documentation. Strong knowledge of applicable laws and extensive experience in payroll processing are required. The position demands analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in payroll software.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior multi-state payroll processing experience
- Knowledge and proficiency in HRIS systems, spreadsheet and database management software
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations impacting payroll preparation
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Canadian payroll remittance for WSIB
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation
- Supervisory experience
- Experience with UltiPro/Ultimate Software or similar payroll software
