Job Summary
The Payroll Specialist processes biweekly payroll for 1,000+ employees across US states and Canadian provinces, serving HR and Finance as a Dayforce SME for payroll and workforce management modules. Responsibilities include end-to-end payroll processing (regular and off-cycle), timekeeping reconciliation (resolving missing punches and discrepancies), wage calculations (overtime, bonuses, commissions, retro pay, and adjustments), maintaining payroll/human resources records, and handling year-end activities and related reporting. The role supports payroll-related audits, reconciliations, and reporting, trains managers on payroll policies and Dayforce usage, and ensures compliance with U.S. federal/state/local and Canadian regulations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely processing in a high-volume environment. Bilingual Spanish is a plus and Dayforce experience (3+ years) is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- 4+ years of experience in payroll administration
- Experience processing Canadian payroll (strongly preferred)
- Proficient with Dayforce platform and MS Office
