Job Summary
Process bi-weekly payroll accurately by reviewing timecards for compliance with CT wage and hour laws, reconciling uploads, and monitoring accruals, deductions, and benefits including CT Paid Leave. Act as the principal liaison with the payroll vendor while preparing detailed post-payroll reports for labor distributions, overtime, unions, and pension contributions. Manage year-end tasks such as W-2 distribution, ACA data updates for 1095 reporting, and audit support for financial and grant agencies. Maintain employee payroll records, submit garnishments, and assist with IT helpdesk administration and event management. Aid in developing internal policies and systems ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience with automated payroll systems (100+ employees)
- Must be able to drive including getting into and out of vehicle frequently
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to bend and lift and reach
- Ability to hear conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
- Ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses
- Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Accounting preferred
