Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist responsible for end-to-end payroll across multiple cycles in the UK, ensuring accurate inputs, timely delivery, and compliance. Key duties include managing complex calculations (salary changes, bonuses, commissions, deductions), handling lifecycle events (starters, leavers, amendments), leading year-end processes (P60s, P11Ds, benefit reporting), and HMRC RTI/reporting with robust controls. Role emphasizes data integrity within HRIS (HiBob) and payroll systems, reconciliation with finance data, and supporting audits. Collaboration with employees, managers, and external payroll providers; focus on pension contributions, auto-enrolment, salary sacrifice schemes, and continuous improvement of payroll efficiency and system integrations. The role operates in a hybrid setup with at least 2 days per week in the Fulwood, Preston office, and incorporates governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across People Operations and Finance teams.
