Job Summary
Payroll Specialist responsible for administering payroll for a long-term care/assisted living facility, ensuring compliance with federal/state/local standards; supports HR duties including onboarding, benefits, and personnel records; manages payroll files, pay calculations, deductions, garnishments, and reports; processes PBJ data, 401(k) contributions, W-2/W-4 records, and terminations, while collaborating with HR to maintain ACA records and open enrollment; requires attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and experience with Paylocity and payroll regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Payroll experience (3 years preferred)
- HR practitioner experience preferred (2 years)
- HRIS and payroll experience preferred
- Knowledge of payroll tax laws
- Experience with Paylocity (preferred)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle payroll processing deadlines
- Familiarity with nursing facility regulations and ACA requirements
