Payroll Specialist

Job Summary
Process full-cycle payroll for employees across the U.S. and Canada using Dayforce; ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial payroll laws and tax regulations; maintain and audit payroll data including wages, deductions, and benefits; reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues; partner with HR on hires, terminations, and compensation updates; support payroll tax filings, reporting, and year-end processes (W-2s, T4s); validate and manage timekeeping data; serve as a go-to resource for payroll-related questions across multiple jurisdictions; assist with audits and maintain payroll documentation; process wage garnishments and child support orders; identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and optimize system usage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of payroll experience
- Dayforce experience preferred
- Canadian payroll experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
