Job Summary
Payroll Specialist responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley standards. Responsibilities include timecard review and verification, reconciling pay and deductions, administering payroll files, reconciling payroll data to company policies, assisting employees with payroll questions, preparing control documents for payroll transactions, and performing other tasks as assigned. Requires strong knowledge of payroll regulations, confidentiality, organizational skills, and proficient use of Adobe PDF and Microsoft Office. Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers and maintain accuracy and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in payroll
- A working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes
- associate degree in business administration or accounting
