Job Summary
Payroll Specialist responsibilities include checking figures and documents for accuracy, maintaining payroll files, recording and analyzing payroll data, preparing and distributing payroll reports, reconciling hours and pay adjustments, processing paychecks, and advising employees and managers on payroll and benefits. The role requires updating time clock settings, handling confidential information, and supporting team goals while providing professional, clear communication. Knowledge of 401(k), insurance, and collective bargaining provisions is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and compliance within Marriott’s policies.
