Job Summary
Payroll Specialist Lead at Remote, globally remote. Lead the Global Payroll Operations team with end-to-end payroll processing, statutory filing, approvals, and payments. Act as a subject-matter expert for the country, manage relationships with stakeholders across Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineers, and focus on KPIs and SLAs. Responsibilities include implementing and improving payroll processes, mentoring payroll specialists, and backing up regional managers during absences. Requires proficiency with Excel/Google Suite, strong analytical skills, and English fluency. The role is fully remote with a worldwide location, reporting to Manager, Global Payroll Operations. Required Qualifications
- End-to-end payroll processing in-house or via payroll service provider
- Knowledge of payroll best practices
- Proficient in Excel and Google Suite
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving
- Ability to work in fast-paced international environment and asynchronously
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Experience with payroll journals and reconciliations (bonus for remote teams)
- Mentorship or supervision of payroll specialists
- Data integrity and compliance focus
