Job Summary
Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions. Administer and reconcile employee benefits, including health insurance and 401k, while preparing and submitting payroll tax filings and year-end W-2s. Maintain up-to-date payroll records, respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and taxes, and collaborate with HR and accounting departments on payroll-related matters. Interpret collective bargaining agreements to support processing accuracy. This role supports multiple Kentwood, MI manufacturing partners through the Pivot Group Network, focusing on long-term fit and alignment within the West Michigan region.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG) and timekeeping systems
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state tax compliance
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation for payroll accounts and month-end close processes
- Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements or union contracts to payroll processing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payroll calculations
