Job Summary
Process weekly, semi-monthly, and custom calendar payroll for small business clients by calculating paychecks using tax tables and auditing timekeeping records for compliance. Inspect automated system outputs, determine and correct out-of-balance conditions, and validate time and attendance records from the TLM system. Enter new hires into Payroll Central, post changes in pay and tax status, and process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments. Prepare special reports for management while maintaining accurate employee payroll records. This on-site role in Gardendale, AL requires 1-3 years of automated payroll systems experience and involves partnering with a dedicated client base to deliver expert processing services.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years automated payroll systems experience or equivalent accounting experience
- Previous payroll experience in a client facing environment
- Previous customer service experience
- Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines or unusual or critical situations
- Professional presentation of written information, that is clear and effective for success with clients
- Direct experience in a variety of SaaS payroll systems, and your ability to learn new ones
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Desired Qualifications
- Background of in-house payroll processing experience in a small to mid-sized business
