Job Summary
Process weekly, semi-monthly, and custom calendar payroll for small business clients by calculating paychecks using tax tables, entering new hires into Payroll Central, and posting changes in pay and tax status. Inspect automated system outputs to determine and correct out-of-balance conditions, while auditing timekeeping and validating time and attendance records from the TLM system. Handle involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, prepare special reports for management, and ensure standard compliance. This on-site role in Virginia Beach requires 1-3 years of automated payroll systems experience and customer service skills. Base hourly compensation is up to $27.00.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years automated payroll systems experience or equivalent accounting experience
- Previous payroll experience in a client facing environment
- Previous customer service experience
- Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines or unusual or critical situations
- Professional presentation of written information, that is clear and effective for success with clients
- Direct experience in a variety of SaaS payroll systems, and your ability to learn new ones
- This is an on-site position based in Virginia Beach, VA

Desired Qualifications
- Background of in-house payroll processing experience in a small to mid-sized business is highly preferred, but not required
