Job Summary
Process weekly, semi-monthly, and custom calendar payroll for small business clients by calculating paychecks using tax tables and entering new hires into Payroll Central. Inspect automated system outputs, determine and correct out-of-balance conditions, and audit timekeeping records to validate compliance with payroll data. Check and audit time and attendance records from the TLM system, process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, and prepare special reports for management. Post changes in pay and tax status while maintaining accurate employee payroll records. Requires 1-3 years of automated payroll systems experience, direct client-facing service, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Based on-site in Burlington, VT.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years automated payroll systems experience or equivalent accounting experience
- Previous payroll experience in a client facing environment
- Previous customer service experience
- Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines or unusual or critical situations
- Professional presentation of written information, that is clear and effective for success with clients
- Direct experience in a variety of SaaS payroll systems, and your ability to learn new ones
- This position is based on-site at our office in Burlington, VT

Desired Qualifications
- Background of in-house payroll processing experience in a small to mid-sized business is highly preferred, but not required
