Job Summary

Process bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Review timecards for missing punches, approvals, or discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with supervisors and managers. Resolve payroll discrepancies by researching issues, making adjustments, and responding to inquiries from employees and managers. Calculate overtime, pay rate differentials, and retroactive pay adjustments while validating payroll preview data using reports and Excel templates. Reconcile benefits payments, temporary agency invoices, and employee expense reports in SAP Concur, and manage manual check processing and direct deposit reversals. Act as a liaison with outside payroll vendors for system evaluations and error corrections, maintaining orderly records in compliance with retention laws. Assist team members with ADP issues and handle employee questions regarding timecard procedures and training.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Five years of payroll experience
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Solid understanding of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), payroll taxes, and general accounting principles
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with extreme professionalism
  • Ability to learn and apply departmental or Company policies, procedures, and rules
  • Ability to learn and apply Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations pertaining to human resources
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain co-operative working relationships with employees, managers, and Company leadership
  • Regional Travel - Rarely (0-15%)

  • Ability to make informal presentations, inside and/or outside the organization. Speaking before groups
  • Ability to count accurately
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and to record, balance, and check results for accuracy
  • Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
