Job Summary
Payroll Specialist responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley, including timecard review, reconciliations of pay and deductions, maintaining payroll files, escalating payroll issues, and supporting control documents and ad hoc projects. Requires associate degree in business administration or accounting and 2 years of payroll experience; preferred Certified Payroll Professional and experience with certified payroll. Proficiency with Adobe PDF and MS Office; strong communication, confidentiality, and organization skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in payroll
- A working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes at a level normally acquired through an associate degree in business administration or accounting
