Job Summary
Process bi-weekly payroll across multiple locations, validating timecards, calculating overtime and bonuses, and resolving discrepancies with department managers. Review transactions for new hires, terminations, wage changes, and retroactive adjustments while ensuring compliance with federal, IRS, and tribal employment regulations. Prepare payroll journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and coordinate annual W-2 processing and tax reporting. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay calculations and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data. Assist with month-end and year-end closes, system upgrades, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of full-cycle payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level of confidentiality
- Strong mathematical aptitude
