Job Summary
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll across 4 to 5 FEINs in a high-volume, multi-state environment using ADP Workforce Now. Validate timekeeping records, overtime, commissions, bonuses, and reimbursements while auditing reports to identify discrepancies before transmission. Handle daily manual check processing for adjustments and terminations, administer wage garnishments, and resolve inquiries from employees, managers, HR, and Finance. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, prepare data analysis reports in Excel, and assist with payroll, 401k, and workers compensation audits. Report daily activities to the supervisor and attend weekly department meetings. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 to 6 years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience processing payroll for multiple companies/entities with 4 to 5 FEINs in a multi-state environment
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, payroll processing and reporting
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, garnishment administration, and federal, state, and local compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Experience managing payroll audits, balancing payroll registers, and reconciling payroll-related accounts
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict payroll deadlines
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
