Job Summary
As a Payroll Specialist, you will manage the multi-state payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll practices and tax regulations. This role involves handling off-cycle payrolls, calculating special payments, and reconciling payroll accounts.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of payroll processing and accounting experience
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and wage and hour laws
- Proficiency with payroll software such as Coins, ADP, UKG or In-House/Non Outsourced processing software
- Experience with payroll tax, general ledger, reconciliation, and payroll accounting
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with processing Union (Collective Bargaining Agreement) payrolls
- Data entry, analysis, and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
