Job Summary
Payroll Specialist responsible for end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing for multi-state employees, leveraging Dayforce Payroll, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws, audits, reporting, and HRIS administration. Responsibilities include processing payroll data (earnings, deductions, taxes, time, garnishments), preparing audits and reporting, maintaining payroll records, supporting year-end filings (W-2s, ACA), serving as the Dayforce subject matter expert, and identifying process improvements and automation opportunities. Requires strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with experience in multi-state payroll, payroll regulations, and ITAR/U.S. person requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5–6 years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll administration.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, garnishments, and payroll tax requirements.
- Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Previous Dayforce (Ceridian) experience preferred; strong HRIS experience required.
