Job Summary
Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing Canada payrolls for assigned resort(s)/corporate employees, coordinating with HR, HRIS, and third-party partners to ensure accurate, timely processing. Tasks include preparing time and attendance for processing, payroll calculations, manual entries and adjustments, auditing results, reconciling payroll inputs, and responding to employee inquiries about wages, taxes, and deductions. The role supports Time and Attendance using Workday Time Tracking, processes deductions and garnishments (including ROErelated duties), assists with year-end tax reporting, and provides guidance on CPP/EI/RRSP tax implications. Requires detailed attention, excellent customer service, and strong communication skills; requires Workday and ADP familiarity, knowledge of Canada tax rules, and capability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position is based in Denver with a hybrid in-person collaboration policy and offers a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years, multi-provincial payroll experience including taxes and garnishments, pay calculations, tax and wage reporting
- Canadian payroll processing experience is required, USA experience preferred
- ROE expertise and experience
- Experience with bi-weekly, hourly and salaried payrolls
- Benefits knowledge, including taxation
- Finance/Accounting knowledge or experience required
- Workday experience required
- Workday Time Tracking experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of computer network systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field, or equivalent 3 years work experience Canada PCP certification required
