Job Summary
Payroll Specialist responsible for processing biweekly and weekly payrolls for 1000+ employees using Workday; audits employee expenses and commissions, generates payroll reports, and manages tax withholding, garnishments, and various deductions. Performs payroll corrections for timecard issues, STD/FMLA, workers’ compensation, and adjustments; assists with tax reconciliation, year-end W-2 prep and reconciliation, and back-up payroll processing. Creates management and ad hoc reports; ensures compliance with policies and controls; maintains confidentiality of payroll information; supports accounting team as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years payroll experience
- 3+ years tax registration and reconciliation experience
- Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Workday experience
- Multi-state, federal, and local tax experience
