Job Summary
Develop standard work documentation and maintain payroll and benefits processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Audit and support payroll benefits workflows, including tax withholding setup, bonus entries, and payroll preview reviews, while resolving complex escalated cases involving USERRA, SOX controls, and union agreements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure accurate, audit-ready processing across multiple business units. Respond to employee benefit inquiries with high-level service and lead projects to improve process efficiency. This role operates in a high-volume, metric-driven environment supporting RTX's aerospace and defense operations.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, finance or related field
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Advanced degree
- 6 years of applicable relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Payroll Software such as: Workday, ADP EV5, and ADP Workforce Manager
- Experience and knowledge of Payroll best practices
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Must be able to work extended or flexible hours as needed to support the requirements of a nationwide payroll operation
- Must reside within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Farmington, CT
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ADP Global view or ADP Ev5
- Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask
- Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast paced highly collaborative cross functional team environment with excellent verbal and written skills
- Demonstrate expertise in problem solving, analysis, and issue resolution
- Proficiency in excel
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
