Job Summary
Remote Payroll Compliance Expert responsible for owning payroll compliance for UK/Ireland, translating local legislation into scalable processes, systems, and documentation, and leading audits and compliance programs across jurisdictions. Collaborates with Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Legal to embed compliant payroll capabilities, designs scalable controls and governance, and mentors teams to elevate compliance capability in a fully remote, globally distributed environment. Emphasizes automation, AI fluency, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement to ensure regulatory accuracy, auditable product outputs, and ongoing adherence across markets.
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise in payroll, employment compliance for your country/region
- Proven record leading audits, regulatory reviews, or country-level compliance programs
- Experience partnering with technical teams to convert statutory rules into product requirements
- Strong communicator capable of influencing stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, Support, and Senior Leadership
- Mentor and coach who grows the capability of the team around you
- Systems thinker who designs frameworks, documentation, processes, and controls that scale
- Comfortable operating in an async, fast-changing, fully remote environment
- Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency
