Job Summary
The Payroll Project Manager will lead strategic payroll initiatives and system implementations across the organization, managing end-to-end payroll projects while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing large-scale payroll system implementations, developing project plans and budgets, coordinating with teams across IT, Finance, HR, and external vendors, managing compliance with payroll regulations, and creating detailed project documentation. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of payroll operations experience, and 3 years of project management experience, alongside strong technical and soft skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of payroll operations experience
- 3+ years of project management experience
- Proven track record of successfully implementing payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
