Job Summary
The Payroll Officer ensures payroll and taxes are managed for classified/certified staff and substitutes, handles deductions, and prepares payroll-related reports and journal entries. This role acts as an administrative support function for the Interlocal, serving as SNV Bookkeeper, and collaborates with the Director, Board Clerk, and Treasurer to maintain accurate payroll, benefits, and budget records, including processing overtime, leave, withholdings, and audit-ready documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background/experience in accounting/bookkeeping, or as an administrative assistant
- Typing and filing skills, computer skill
- Health and inoculation certificate on file at the Central Office
- Desire to continue career improvement
