Job Summary

The Payroll Officer supports the delivery of the fortnightly payroll cycle, ensuring accurate processing of salaries, superannuation, payroll tax, and other payments in line with policies and legislative requirements. It provides administrative and operational support to the payroll team, contributes to payroll improvement initiatives and program delivery, maintains payroll records, delivers payroll advice to employees and stakeholders, and ensures compliance with enterprise agreements and legislative requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or similar HR platforms (desirable)
  • Experience in payroll, HR administration or high-volume customer service environments, with payroll exposure preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills required
  • Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position
  • Recipients of Victorian Public Service (VPS) voluntary departure packages should note that re-employment restrictions apply
