Job Summary

Assures the smooth and efficient operation of the payroll office by calculating and reconciling all payrolls, printing and distributing checks, and processing deduction payments to vendors. Maintains accurate records for local, state, and federal reporting, including quarterly and annual tax returns such as W2 and 941. Assists employees with payroll and retirement questions while working with school payroll personnel to ensure proper timesheet crediting. Oversees the maintenance of payroll files and manages office supplies and equipment. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database applications, with a full-time schedule on the CCSS Classified Salary Schedule A14.

  • Prepares and reports all quarterly and annually state, federal, and other agency returns such as taxes, TRS, W2, 941, etc.
  • Works with school payroll personnel to ensure proper crediting of timesheets and overtime
  • Calculates and processes deduction payments to appropriate vendors. Garnishments
  • Oversees the maintenance of payroll files
  • Performs all duties in a timely and accurate manner
  • Demonstrates loyalty to the school, school system and administrators
