Job Summary

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all casino employees using UKG Pro/WFM, ensuring compliance with federal, state, tribal, and gaming commission regulations. Collaborate with HR and Finance to verify new hires, transfers, wages, benefit deductions, and tax withholdings while completing payroll reconciliations and generating journal entries. Respond to employee inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and prepare annual IRS Forms 8027 and work papers for the 401k audit. Supervise and mentor payroll staff, delegate daily tasks, and implement audit procedures to maintain data accuracy. Coordinate with IT for system changes and manage relationships with external partners. Serve as a subject matter expert for UKG modules and complete special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, H/R, or related field
  • 5+ years of payroll experience, preferably in the hospitality or gaming industry
  • Proven experience using UKG software (UKG Pro, WFM, or similar modules)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities
  • Ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly, and to cross-reference and cross-check numbers repeatedly and frequently
  • Effectively manage time and prioritization to ensure deadlines are met
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail in order to effectively monitor progress and complete assignments effectively and accurately
  • Demonstrate initiative and self-direction to perform a variety of simultaneous skills (multi-tasking)
  • Ability to analyze data and identify reporting errors
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work fast and efficiently
  • Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
  • Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to independently complete multiple tasks in a professional manner
  • Ability to serve both internal and external customers
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with infrequent amounts of walking and standing
  • Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel and stoop infrequently
  • Must be able to reach and twist infrequently
  • Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects occasionally
  • Must have the ability to independently lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Must have good eye hand coordination
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in processing a weekly payroll for 1000+ employees
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
