Job Summary
Payroll Manager responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance with federal/state/local wage regulations, and maintaining payroll records. Leads payroll audits, collaborates with Accounting on reconciliations and reporting, and identifies/processes improvements to payroll systems and internal controls while handling sensitive information with confidentiality. Requires strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax compliance, reporting, internal controls, and experience with payroll software; effective communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of payroll or related accounting experience; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software; ability to work both independently and within a team. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll or related accounting experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and payroll software systems; Experience with Vista/Viewpoint or similar systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; Effective communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
