Job Summary
Lead and oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery across the organization and its subsidiaries. Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of payroll professionals while processing transactions for new hires, terminations, and compensation changes. Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, delivering responsive support to employees and leadership. Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local laws, proactively implementing updates, and prepare filings including tax payments and year-end forms. Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency, while collaborating cross-functionally with HR, Benefits, and IT teams to ensure seamless operations. Maintain and optimize payroll systems to support business needs and scalability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- FPC or CPP certification
- 10+ years of payroll experience in a corporate or professional services environment, including experience leading payroll teams
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop team members while driving high performance
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and ensure accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize a dynamic workload and adapt to evolving business needs
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Workday payroll
- Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
