Job Summary
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-provincial Canadian workforce, ensuring accurate, timely delivery of payroll services, benefits deductions, and retirement contributions. Review reconciliations, statutory remittances, and funding requirements while overseeing year-end activities including T4s and regulatory reporting. Lead payroll integration activities for business acquisitions by assessing risks, coordinating data conversion, and executing transition plans. Serve as functional lead for ADP Workforce Now, identifying efficiency improvements and supporting system enhancements. Provide leadership to the payroll team, overseeing hiring, performance evaluation, and mentorship to foster collaboration and meet SLAs.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive payroll experience
- Minimum 3 years in a Payroll Manager or senior payroll leadership role
- Demonstrated experience leading payroll activities during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, source deductions, taxable benefits, pension administration, and year-end reporting
- Experience managing payroll for multiple legal entities and provinces
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Accounting, and/or PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Experience working within a Workday HCM environment
- Bilingual English/French
