Job Summary
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and Canada while overseeing global payroll processes across AMER, EMEA, and APAC through in-house and external providers. Ensure compliance with all tax, benefits, and statutory reporting requirements, preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, and policy interpretation, serving as the primary escalation point for employee inquiries. Drive continuous improvement of global payroll systems and vendor performance to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Coordinate annual audits and manage 401(k) true-up calculations. This role sits within the Accounting organization, partnering with regional teams to deliver accurate, compliant payroll on time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including experience with a global organization
- Demonstrated expertise in U.S. and Canadian payroll processing, payroll tax regulations, and statutory compliance
- Hands-on experience processing payroll in UKG (or similar enterprise payroll system)
- Strong payroll accounting knowledge, including preparation of payroll journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close support
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner cross functionally
