Payroll Manager

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end payroll operations for 550+ employees in Israel, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations. Own month-end close activities, reconciliations, and data integrity while driving continuous improvements to processes and systems. Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and implement scalable solutions for complex scenarios including equity compensation and multi-currency payroll. Utilize Hilan, Michpal, and NetSuite ERP to manage journal entries and accruals, leveraging advanced Excel skills for payroll analysis. Work in a flexible hybrid model within a fast-paced global environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll management experience
- Experience in a global high-tech environment supporting 300–600 employees
- Deep expertise in Israeli payroll
- Knowledge of Israeli labor laws
- Knowledge of tax regulations
- Knowledge of National Insurance
- Knowledge of reserve-duty payments
- Knowledge of pension plans
- Knowledge of equity compensation
- Hands-on experience with Hilan
- Experience with Ofek
- Experience with Hilnet
- Ability to retrieve historical payroll data from Michpal
- Experience with NetSuite ERP
- Experience with payroll journal entries
- Experience with accruals
- Experience with reconciliations
- Experience with month-end close processes
- Ability to build payroll journal entries directly from payroll reports
- Implementation experience with Hilnet
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to use complex formulas
- Ability to use pivot tables
- Ability to perform payroll analysis
