Job Summary
Payroll Senior Manager responsible for end-to-end payroll delivery across multiple regions, governance, and compliance; leads regional payroll teams and vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing, with oversight of payroll governance, controls, audits, and stakeholder management. Drives transformation projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement; partners with global process owners and senior stakeholders to standardize payroll processes and resolve complex operational or regulatory issues. Leads a matrixed payroll organization, owning hiring, performance management, and development while promoting an inclusive, high-performing culture. Requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to coordinate with HR, Finance, and operations, and to manage external vendors and audit relationships.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of prior experience in Payroll, HR, and/or Finance operations.
- A minimum of 5 years in a Management/People Leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex, matrixed payroll organizations at scale.
- Experience in managing external vendors.
- Strong expertise in payroll governance, controls, compliance, and audit frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage executive stakeholders and navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent English language written and verbal communication abilities, with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience in knowledge management systems and proficiency with compliance requirements (e.g. SOX, business controls).
- Certification in Payroll, Project Management, Analytics, Lean Six Sigma/Design Thinking is preferred.
