Job Summary
Payroll Coordinator responsible for guiding less experienced team members, managing 2–3 years of hands-on payroll experience in multi-state settings, leveraging ADP/Workday payroll systems, ensuring compliance with tax filings and wage laws, and delivering data-driven insights through Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Collaborates across departments, communicates effectively, prioritizes multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and mentors junior staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on payroll experience
- multi-state or large organization setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Workday or similar)
- Understanding of payroll compliance and regulations (tax filings and wage laws)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to lead or mentor junior staff when needed
