Job Summary

Payroll Coordinator at Bearing Construction responsible for the accurate, timely payroll execution across weekly and bi-weekly cycles using approved payroll systems, validating inputs (hours, pay rates, PTO, job costing), addressing discrepancies, supporting off-cycle processing, maintaining records, and supporting audits. Serves as primary time-entry contact, guides managers and employees on timekeeping, escalates issues affecting timing or data integrity, and collaborates with the Payroll Systems Specialist. Assists with onboarding and distribution of training materials. Requires 5+ years payroll processing experience, construction payroll familiarity, strong attention to detail and confidentiality, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in an indoor office and active outdoor construction environment and meet physical requirements including lifting, ladder use, and exposure to dust or loud equipment. Includes benefits and compensation details per company package.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of payroll processing experience, in-house or outsourced
  • Construction or cost, payroll, and time tracking proficiency
  • Command of all aspects of payroll compliance, including taxes, benefit tracking, and reporting
