Job Summary
Analyze payroll and related records to ensure completeness, comparing them to pension and health fund data. Review general ledgers and cash disbursement records while communicating with employers to verify that all eligible participants receive entitled benefits. Prepare various schedules and reports, then explain the results to all parties involved. This role supports Schultheis & Panettieri's labor union and benefit fund audit practice, with multiple positions available across Hauppauge, Floral Park, and Iselin. Training is provided for qualified candidates, including those with backgrounds in auditing, bookkeeping, or data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong Excel/database skills
- Adept at problem solving ability to identify issues and recommend corrective actions
- Responsible team player who can work independently
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally
