Payroll Clerk- PART TIME

Job Summary
Collate, calculate, and enter payroll data while verifying work hours, payments, and deductions through the payroll system. Audit records to ensure compliance with union agreements, SCA regulations, and government contract guidelines. Prepare reports summarizing earnings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages, and process W-2 forms for employees. Resolve payroll discrepancies, answer employee queries, and maintain all operations according to company policies. This part-time role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong math skills for computing taxes and liabilities, and experience with Service Contract Act and union workforce requirements. A background investigation is mandatory, and bilingual Spanish speakers are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
- We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least two (2) years of payroll experience
- Experience with Service Contract Act and Union Workforce
- Knowledge of multiple state and federal employment laws, travel expenses, and reimbursement
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
