Job Summary
Compute worker earnings using annual salaries or timesheets, verify attendance and hours worked, and post data to designated records. Handle pay discrepancy complaints, factor in vacation or sick pay, and close the paycheck cycle after termination. Calculate deductions including income tax withholding, insurance, and garnishments for child support or IRS intervention. Check electronic data for errors, compile employee time and production data from sheets, and utilize payroll and onboarding software. Perform repetitive motions involving grasping and turning while visually locating information in small print. Move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and frequently reach overhead or below the knees. Adhere to Harps policies, dress code, and safety procedures while maintaining high-quality output and resolving conflicts between individuals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Adaptable to different situations and the ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities and rapid change
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Moves, lifts, carries and places merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
- Frequently reaches overhead and below the knees, including pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching and twisting with or without bearing weight
- Frequent repetitive motion with hand(s) and arm(s), such as grasping, gripping and turning
- Visually locates merchandise and other objects, at near and/or far distances, as well as verified information, often in small print
- Employment at Harps may be contingent upon completion and our evaluation of a PEP survey, drug screen, employment reference check, criminal background check and credit check
