Job Summary
Compile payroll inputs including hours, commissions, bonuses, withholdings, and benefit contributions while maintaining and verifying payroll master data. Calculate wages and deductions, then prepare and issue paychecks, tracking leave and other nontaxable pay to produce periodic earnings, tax, and deduction reports. Organize incoming payroll information to ensure accuracy before deadlines, answer employee questions, and clarify details with managers. Double-check totals, file records, and resolve payroll inquiries with professionalism. This role supports employees and leadership at Daniels Long Chevrolet with dependable payroll administration, requiring strong math skills and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of related payroll experience (or equivalent education/experience)
- Clear written and verbal communication for one-on-one and small-group settings
- Strong math skills (percentages, commissions, proportions, etc.) and careful attention to detail
- Sound judgment and common-sense problem solving
