Job Summary
Maintain master insurance data files to reconcile benefit payroll deductions against vendor billing and track employee FMLA leaves. Establish communication with plan administrators and third-party claims payors regarding claim issues, while creating spreadsheets to analyze data and perform reconciliations. Generate biannual GASB/OPEB liability reports and verify periodic financial reports related to personnel and payroll. Requires two years of administrative experience with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and attention to detail for this part-time role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years experience in administrative work with an emphasis on highly detailed records
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets, utilizing formulas and functions, analyzing data, and performing reconciliation to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in payroll accounting, benefits reconciliation, or municipal/school district bookkeeping
- Working knowledge of benefits plan, design and administration, especially as it relates to school districts
