Job Summary

Payroll & Benefits Manager responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processing and employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Collaborates with HR, Finance, and external vendors; administers payroll audits; manages benefits plans; ensures ERISA/ACA/COBRA/HIPAA compliance; prepares required government reports; handles FMLA/ADA accommodations; develops employee communications and training; manages EDI feeds between payroll/HRIS and carriers.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience
  • At least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom)
  • In-depth understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and benefits compliance
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred
  • CPP or CEBS certifications preferred
  • Authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship)

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to travel 1-25%
  • Hybrid: In office Tuesday and Wednesday in Houston, TX
