Job Summary
Payroll & Benefits Manager responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processing and employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Collaborates with HR, Finance, and external vendors; administers payroll audits; manages benefits plans; ensures ERISA/ACA/COBRA/HIPAA compliance; prepares required government reports; handles FMLA/ADA accommodations; develops employee communications and training; manages EDI feeds between payroll/HRIS and carriers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience
- At least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom)
- In-depth understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and benefits compliance
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred
- CPP or CEBS certifications preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to travel 1-25%
- Hybrid: In office Tuesday and Wednesday in Houston, TX
